Refund & Return Policy
Welcome to Hugtoddlerbed. We are dedicated to providing high-quality Montessori furniture for your family. Due to the specialized nature of our products and the complexities of international logistics, we have established clear guidelines to manage returns and cancellations fairly. Hugtoddlerbed is owned and operated by ATES Design LLC.
1. Official Time Zone (EST)
All deadlines, time-stamps, and windows for cancellations or returns are calculated based on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Please ensure your requests are sent within these specific timeframes to remain eligible.
2. Official Support Channel
To ensure all requests are tracked and handled promptly, all formal communication regarding refunds or returns must be sent via email to: hello@hugtoddlerbed.com.
- Please note that requests sent through social media DMs, phone calls, or other platforms are not considered official and will not qualify for policy deadlines.
3. Order Cancellation Terms
We provide a 24-hour grace period for free cancellations after you place your order.
- Under 24 Hours (EST): Email us within this window for a full, 100% refund.
- After 24 Hours (Pre-Dispatch): Requests made after the grace period but before the item leaves our hub are subject to a 15% processing and restocking fee.
- Post-Shipment: If the order has already been dispatched, you must follow the standard return procedure.
4. 30-Day Return Eligibility
You may initiate a return within 30 days (EST) of receiving your delivery. To qualify for a refund, items must remain unassembled, unused, and stored in their original factory packaging.
5. Damaged or Faulty Arrivals
If your order arrives with damage, we will provide replacement parts at no cost. You must notify hello@hugtoddlerbed.com within 48 hours (EST) of delivery with the following:
- Photos of the unopened outer box (with the shipping label clearly visible).
- Clear photos identifying the specific damaged component.
- Resolution: We will ship replacement parts to resolve the issue. Full refunds are only provided if the item is rendered non-functional and cannot be resolved with replacement components.
6. Shipping & Logistics
We provide Free Shipping for initial orders to the Contiguous USA and Canada. For shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, a flat shipping rate of $200 USD is applied.
Note on Contiguous USA: This refers to the 48 adjoining U.S. states and the District of Columbia. It excludes Alaska, Hawaii, and all off-shore insular areas (e.g., Puerto Rico, Guam).
The 48 Contiguous States are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
- Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping items back to our primary warehouse in Turkey.
- Authorized Returns: All returns must be pre-approved via email. Our Delaware location is an administrative office, not a return center.
- Shipping Methods: You may request a prepaid return label (the cost will be deducted from your refund) or arrange your own shipping (all costs and duties must be covered by the sender).
- Restocking Fee: All "Change of Mind" returns will have a 15% restocking fee deducted from the final refund.
7. Exchange Policy
Because of the logistical requirements of shipping large furniture internationally, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different model or size, please return your original item for a refund and place a new order through our shop.
8. Inspection & Refund Timeline
All returned goods must undergo a technical inspection upon arrival at our facility.
- Inspection Window: 1–5 business days (EST).
- Refund Issuance: Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days (EST).
